On August 19 through the 21st I traveled to a truly beautiful camp site in the mountains of Pennsylvania to capture all that went on during this one of a kind weekend for teenagers in search for the unexpected. For starters, it was good to be back on cold weather soil after my move from Boston to Miami earlier that year. For this project I decided to only take my Canon 5D Mark II (a still photography camera) and a few add ons. This was the best decision, I traveled light and the video quality did much more than you would think it could! I'll let the video tell you what went on throughout the weekend. 

I still remember the day I met Sharin in Houston Texas during a national singing competition in 2003. A cancer survivor with a gift and passion for music bigger than most people I’ve met. In 2011 she was determined to let the world hear her music! She approached me in search for direction in the creative aspects of her now released album "Quiero"

She traveled from Boston MA to Miami determined to accomplish what I present to you today.  One of the locations was a construction site (image above), which created a great texture on the background.  Also allowing me to use natural sun light. Before we went outside for all of this, we took care of the in studio photos (image below), which I always aim for to prevent wind and other weather conditions messing with the model's hair, make up and wardobe.
